Our
Director
Since 1984 Skyline has been honored
to have talented and energetic Vickie Maybury
as the Master Director of the chorus. Her passion
for the craft and focus on musical excellence
have been instrumental in Skyline's steady
rise from regional medalists to International
finalists.
Vickie's many accomplishments include
being a certified Expression Judge, a certified International
Faculty member and a Master Director. As if that weren't enough,
she also sings baritone in a barbershop quartet, Radiance (2007
Region 8 First Place Quartet Champions and 2007 International
15th Place Finalists!). In addition to sharing her expertise,
energy, and quest for musical excellence with the Skyline Chorus,
Vickie coaches many Sweet Adeline choruses and quartets and gives
private voice lessons.
Vickie's creative approach includes teaching vocal
skills to both right- and left-brained learning styles. She focuses on
positive energy and love for the music, performing and especially
each other.

A Denver-based chapter of Sweet
Adelines International, Skyline began with
20 singers in 1962 and now boasts more than 170
members. Region 8 Champions in 2001, 2003, 2005 and
now 2007, Skyline has also competed at the international level.
Under Vickie's direction, the chorus placed 4th in the
world at the 2006 Sweet Adeline's International (SAI) Convention
in Las Vegas and came in 2nd in the 2004 competition in Indianapolis.
Skyline is now polishing their performance package for the 2009
Region 8 Competition in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We're looking forward
to singing with our Region 8 Sweet Adeline International sisters!
